Poof! by Lynn Nottage is a short one-act comedy about a woman named Loureen who, after years of enduring her abusive husband, discovers he has suddenly and magically turned to ashes during one of his rages. With the help of her friend Florence, Loureen faces the shock, humor, and unexpected freedom of this bizarre situation. The play blends sharp wit with serious themes of domestic abuse, empowerment, and the possibility of starting over.
